I've spent alot of time with colleagues in the lab testing high frequency circuits; it is apparent that, although the frequencies increase, the design approaches and challenges remain the same. Gain, stability, power, size, bandwidth, etc. Similar challenges today as it was for those who designed this ~100 year old receiver.
